Patience in His promises
Be patient with the promises of God. I love how God spoke to Abraham about a promise to be a great nation someday, but left out almost all the details of how it will happen. What an awesome blessing it must have been to hear the promise. As God began to give this great promise to Abraham, God stopped and said, I will tell you tomorrow.
In life there are so many times we get disappointed. Sometimes things just don’t work out the way we hoped or planned. Often times something is promised to us and then it never comes through. Other times, you may have been promised something, and although it came, it took a lot longer than expected. Often it can be hard to stay encouraged and you can begin to lose sight of the fact that God is working in our behalf. Eventually you can find yourself conditioned to lose some of the trust and confidence that something good is going to happen. With God, this is not the case.
While there may be times you have been disappointed or let down, God is faithful to bring good into our lives, even through that disappointment. He will take the things that appear to be against us and He will use them for our good. All He wants is good for us, after all, He sent His son Jesus for us to walk in freedom and victory. Regardless of what is happening around you, you can trust fully that if He spoke something into your life and into your journey, then He will bring in to completion in His time. Be patient and trust in Him.
